About
Amanda brings more than 16 years of clinical nursing experience to Haydon Blackmon PLLC, offering our clients a level of medical insight that strengthens every case we handle. A graduate of the University of Louisville, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Amanda spent much of her career in fast-paced Emergency Room and Intensive Care settings, where she developed exceptional assessment skills and a calm, steady approach to crisis situations.
Amanda began her nursing career as a floor nurse before moving into leadership roles as a charge nurse and later a house supervisor. Her dedication to patient care earned her the respected DAISY Award, a national honor recognizing extraordinary nurses who provide compassionate and skillful care. After years in acute-care environments, Amanda transitioned to the outpatient setting to focus more on work-life balance while continuing to advocate for patients.
In 2025, Amanda joined our team as a Legal Nurse Consultant, where she uses her deep medical knowledge to review records, identify key details, and help us build strong, evidence-based personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. Her clinical background allows her to explain complex medical issues in a way that is clear, accurate, and informative to clients navigating difficult recoveries.
Outside the office, Amanda is a busy mom of three active children. When she’s not cheering on her kids on a sports field, she enjoys cooking for her family, and traveling with her husband, Andy.
